    In this training, rape crisis center staff who are responsible for conducting trainings will get new training ideas, expand their repertoire of activities and learn to create more interactive, engaging trainings for their staff and volunteers.

    In this training, participants will consider the benefits of partnering with faith communities to reach victims of sexual violence and develop strategies for reaching faith communities in their area.

  • Audience: New rape crisis hotline volunteers. May also be appropriate for more experienced volunteers or employees.
    Duration: Approx. 2 hours, not including live roleplay with instructor.

    In this course, students will develop the skills they need to help hotline callers who may be having thoughts about suicide or are at risk for harming themselves.

  • Audience: New volunteers (may also be suitable for experienced volunteers or employees)
    Duration: 1 hour

    This training was designed with new rape crisis hotline volunteers in mind. Employees and more experienced volunteers can benefit from this training but may find that some of the wording does not fit their situation. This training should take about an hour, although if you put a lot of thought into the exercises, it may take somewhat longer.
  • Audience: Online Hotline volunteers. May also be appropriate for phone hotline volunteers or employees.
    Duration: Approx. 1 hour.

    In this course, participants will develop skills for helping hotline users who are in incest situations or who are survivors of incest.
